Play date at Summer's Past Farm

We had a great play date at Summers Past farm with our friends Kacie and Charlotte, Sue and Anna and Rachel and Isla. What fun it was to watch our little princesses run around in their tutu's. Kacie caught some great photos of Lily and her friends. Thanks for introducing us to this place Kacie. If we weren't moving we would love to go back with you sometime.

Life lately

We celebrated Father's Day with our friends the Eisenburg's and their twins Cooper and Mackenzie. We had brunch at Humphrey's by the Bay on Shelter Island. We had a nice time.

Lily LOVES the beach and digging in the sand. She can't wait until EFV! She is going to have a blast and it will be so nice to be on a warm beach. The beaches in San Diego are always a little chilly.

We have been very busy lately trying to fit everything in these last few weeks here in San Diego. Last week Lily was able to go to Sea World 2 days in a row. The first day we went with some of her little friends. Anna, Maisie and Charlotte were all there. We had a blast and got to see the Shamu show which Lily absolutely loved! The second day we went with daddy and that was a full day of fun. We saw almost everything in the park including the new Dolphin show, the sharks, penguins and of course we had to see Shamu again. :) We bought Lily a stuffed Shamu and she walks around the house holding on to Shamu and talking to him. It is so cute. Here are some pictures from our 2 days at Sea World!

We found this statue of a jug a milk and we had to get a picture of miss Lil in front of it. If there is one thing this girl loves, it's MILK(mommy's milk that is).

We sure have been busy.

Stop and smell the roses

So it has been over a year since I posted to our blog. I guess you could say that some little girl named Lily Kate has been keeping her mommy very busy. After the first four or five months of enduring a colicky baby, Lily continues to get sweeter and sweeter every day. She sure has been a blessing to us and I couldn't imagine our lives without her in it. Lily is on the move these days so we try to keep her busy with play dates at parks and the zoo and exploring all that San Diego has to offer.

We are trying to make the most of the time we have left here in San Diego. Trevor is winding down at work and Lily and I are using our zoo pass as often as we can and hitting the parks most days. This past weekend was great! On Saturday we went to Balboa Park to hang out and relax together. We went to the rose garden where Lily loved to smell the roses. Saturday night we were going to go to the Padres game(the catcher for the San Diego Padres is our neighbor - Nick Hundley), but decided to go eat dinner at El Vitral which is a mexican restaurant right outside the park and you can practically see the game going on while eating dinner on the patio. Lily was great at dinner and had fun flirting with the waiter:). On Sunday, Trevor decided to take Lily Kate to the Padres game so mommy could have some quiet time. They had a great time together and I think they are going to do father/daughter outings more often. We finished off the weekend by enjoying the evening at the concert at the park on Coronado with the Eisenburgs. We had a picnic dinner and chased around our walking/crawling/scooting babies. :) We had a great time with everyone and are definitely going to miss hanging out with Cooper and Mackenzie(and Mitch and Nicole).

I guess the countdown is on until we move. We have 5 full weeks and we are going to make the most of every day here. On the schedule for this week is 2 trips to the zoo, a play date with some friends at a park and a possible trip to Sea World. Am I trying to do too much? We'll see how much we get accomplished.

I am going to try to do better with the blog. No promises but we'll see how it goes.

Induction Day!

In just a couple of hours, Trevor and I will be headed out to the hospital to be induced. We will finally be meeting our little girl very shortly. I have very mixed feelings. I am very excited but also a little anxious and nervous about what is to come. I pray that all will go smoothly with the induction and that our little baby girl cooperates and doesn't take too long to meet us. This has been a great pregnancy for me and I have thoroughly enjoyed it! The Lord answered our prayers about keeping my blood pressure low and I am so thankful to Him for that. God sure is faithful.

Trevor and I have been "nesting" ALL day long, or maybe it is just called giving our house a good all over cleaning. We can't bring our baby home into a dirty, messy house can we?

Thank you for all of your thoughts and prayers during this pregnancy. I have sure felt them. Please continue to pray that this evening goes smoothly and we have a healthy baby girl sometime tomorrow. My mom arrives on Tuesday to help and we are looking forward to seeing her and having her with us for the next 2 weeks. We will keep you posted and I will update the blog as soon as I can.
