Spring Fever

April is such a wonderful month.  The sun is shining, the temperature is perfect, new leaves are budding on the trees and our baby will be here in just a couple of weeks!!  My belly continues to grow even though I just don't think it can get any bigger.  I will post an updated belly picture so you can see.  I am 37 weeks preggo and at my last Dr. Appt on Monday, the Dr said that I wasn't really dilated yet(despite my daily walks and other activities).  She did say that she didn't want me to go over my due date.  Because of that we set a date of being induced on Sunday night, April 26th.  I am just hoping that I begin to dilate and efface some so that if she decides to be stubborn and not come before the 26th, that I will be a good candidate for inducement.  Please pray that all goes smoothly, that my blood pressure continues to be controlled and that our little girl decides she wants to meet us before the 26th.

Last night, Trevor and I got free tickets to the Padres baseball game, it was military opening night.  Because we had free tickets, our seats were unfortunately 5 rows from the very top of the stadium.  Needless to say, I was out of breath when we finally arrived at our seats.  I was secretly hoping that climbing those stairs would put me in to labor(don't tell Trevor).  After the first bathroom break(right after the first inning), we decided to not return to our seats and instead walk all the way around the stadium and check out the view from every angle.  That was actually much more enjoyable than sitting in uncomfortable stadium seats.  We left the game after the 5th inning and The Padres ended up losing the game.  Hopefully their season will prove better than the opening games.  We'll see.

I am officially on maternity leave now and loving it!!  I started on April 1, to give me some time to myself and time to get ready for the baby.  When I am not at my weekly Dr. appointments, or at my biweekly non-stress tests, I am filling my time with washing baby clothes, cleaning the house, daily walks and prenatal yoga and getting everything organized and ready.  I just know that I will probably never feel "ready" for this baby, but at least the house will be in order, right?

Here are a few pictures from the baseball game last night and updated belly pics...ENJOY!!
